Flooring over UFH

Our house was built in 2006 with wet Under Floor Heating

We then laid Homebase 'Best' laminate planks over the top of it.

We are considering replacing it as it's rather worn.

Any suggestions as to what to use?

Lounge 5m x 10m
Conservatory - 5m x 8m

Hall - 4m x 4m

Tiles? probably expensive
Engineered wood
LVT
Laminate again?

:)

    Thanks

I think we would prefer to use the same throughout as the house is fairly 'open plan'
Is engineered wood OK for UFH?

    Anyone else have any thoughts?
  • The only cheap option of your four is laminate.

    Yes. Engineered wood is fine.

We have limestone, not cheap but very durable and requires minimum upkeep.
  • I would go for Karndean products which is Vinyl.. beautiful products and they have a long warranty on them. Bought ours from TEKA flooring (TEKA services) and they gave us a transferrable guarantee too.

In out bathrooms we have porcelain tiles with UFH, but in our kitchen we have Polyflor LVT which works really well and there's a huge range to choose from.

WE have considered LVT, but are concerned that, although our floor was screeded in 2006 when the house was built, I'm not actually sure how smooth a finish we have.
If it's a little rough, might the LVT pick up these imperfections?
