I am with EDF for both gas and electricity on simply fixed until June 2020, the current rate I am on is for the gas unit rate 3.819p per kWh and a standing charge of 18.9p per day. The electricity 15.18p per kWh standing charge 18.90p per day. I get the warm home discount of £140 and my direct debit is £81 a month I am at the moment £244 in credit I send my readings at the end of each month. today I received an offer via email from EDF
Good news - keep the same prices when you renew early onto Easy Online Extend Nov21v5. Your current tariff ends on 30 June 2020. However, if you choose Easy Online Extend Nov21v5, you can continue to benefit from managing your account online and avoid any price rises until 30 November 2021.
Limited time offer - ends 1 April 2020. We will refund any exit fee on your current tariff if you choose Easy Online Extend Nov21v5
Opinions and advice would be very welcome. Thanks
Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

You don't mention your consumption. but to give you an idea of what you could be paying:

Gulf Gas & Power (these are London figures)
Gas: s/c 17.4405p per day, 2.375p per kWh
Elec: s/c 13.629p per day, 13.406p per kWh

So a saving of £24 per year on standing charges and gas 38% cheaper and electricity 12% cheaper.

That said, you'll get even better savings by going to separate suppliers for gas and electricity. Gulf's gas price is excellent, but I'm with Symbio for electricity as they're my cheapest option at the moment (10.87p per kWh).

Stick the details in a couple of price comparison website, such as these, and see what is on offer

    https://energycompare.citizensadvice.org.uk/
    https://clubs.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub

As Talldave says, look at dual fuel and individual tariffs (although Gas Only never works for me on the Citizens Advice site)

Thanks for the information I checked it out and a savings of over £200 plus being able to claim the warm home discount brilliant.

Yes, it does seem to have a bug, no matter which browser I use. However, it does work if you start by asking for Gas & Electricity and then ask again for Gas Only.

Prices vary according to region so you are best comparing yourself. However just to note that when I accepted a similar offer from EDF my account was restarted for the new tariff and my credit was refunded. Personally, I would have preferred to have the credit applied to future bills but I didn't get the option.

The savings are likely to be worthwhile but they won't be £200 because of the crazy way that Ofgem says they should be calculated. Just do the sums yourself, it's not difficult.
