I don't seem to be the only one with this problem and have gone through countless posts online about people experiencing similar issues but nobody addresses how to resolve it. Its a fairly new phone that I bought more for the camera than anything else and the camera is great but on every setting there is blurring around edges or anything that is not central to the main area of focus. Online people suggest this is an issue called 'depth of field' and to change the settings but there are no settings for this in the majority of photo modes. There is an option called aperture mode where this can be altered but it doesn't completely go and you can only change the amount of blurring. I don't want any blurring at all to edges and anything outside of the main area of focus I just want a completely sharp picture.
Does anyone know what to do so as to remove blurred areas?

Set it to auto. If you are using Aperture mode, set it to a low value, compatible with the overall light levels (note that f/16 is lower than 1/4).
Lower aperture means wider depth of field (area that is in focus), but it also means longer exposure (blurry pictures if you are not steady).
This is probably too technical anyway for a smartphone, so if you can get it working with a couple of clicks, I would think that there is something wrong with either the camera or the firmware/o.s.0 -
Just use a camera perhaps, my camera doesn’t have that problem but it can’t make calls4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 + Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0

I have something on my phone called Bokeh, which is related to depth of field and having this on results in areas of the photo looking blurred. If you have this setting, turn it off and this may solve your problem. It did with mine.0
