No idea who supplies my electricity!
I've not had an electricity bill for about 8 years and don't actually know who supplies my electricity!
I believe some one with the same address as me might have switched suppliers but the only time I discovered this was after about a year when I realised my Eon bill had gone down and no electricity was listed. They confirmed that they had been asked to stop supplying me but couldn't confirm by whom but did say it looked like British Gas from the code. I have spent a couple of afternoons confusing people in a far-away BG call centre about my issue but on both occasions they could find no record of my address and failed to call me back.
As I have never had any communication from anybody about my account being switched (and definitely have never agreed to it) should I try chasing it or just wait for someone to tell me that I owe them ££££ in unpaid bills? I will obviously argue the toss about this though! Thanks for any similar experiences.

Look on your DNO's website and it should tell you.0

Well they can only go back 6 years under Statute of limitations.
The back-billing code specifically excludes customers who have made no efforts to find out who supplies them with energy. You can try and convince them you had tried; but your case would have been better had you contacted the DNO with meter serial number and written(email) to BG.0 -
Could be a bit problematic if they say you've been on an astronomically expensive deemed tariff for six years... :eek:0
