loose screws on uPVC door

hi guys looking for some DIY advice for my uPVC internal doors
i have a upvc french doors with low-threshold floor plate and floor latches
the latch extenders fit on the door with screws which over time have buckled and loosened meaning i have had to take the floor latches off which is a !!!!!! in the winter
any advice on how i can remedy the loose screw holes on upvc?

If they're the "self tapper" type screw, then the UPVC door and window places do oversize screws.0
