    Having re-read your post I would suggest that it is highly likely that any complaint to FOS would be time barred if your complaint relates to the declined claim in 2001 - 18 yrs later is a just a tad too late, even if considered the 2003 date you supplied it would still be too late.

    There is either a lot more to this story than you are telling, or you are simply wasting your time on a fruitless endeavour.

    That was me typing fast. I took my loan out in 2001, was diagnosed in 2003 and the year 2003 is when I tried to make a claim.
