Council tax discount

I am truly gobsmacked,
We had a benefits assessor visit us who thought my hubby might be eligible for a higher rate of dla.
She doesnt think this will happen but at the same time did an assessment for council tax deduction findin that we are are eligible for around 50 percent discount .
We receive around 1200 state pension per minth Private pensions of £260.00 per month because of income????
Dla of just undee per month £100
So income of 1560 per month

Outgoings of about 400 for GAS, ELECTRIC, sky, council tax ,
Extras food, car, holidays

Like i say, gobsmacked
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

If you are entitled you have the choice to apply or not. No need to be gobsmacked - just informed so you can decide which way you want to approach it.

Bear in mind that the rules can change each year so you may not have been entitled before, and you may not be entitled in future years but at present, you appear to be in a group that is being targeted for help.
Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

    Me too.

Wanders off to check for myself.

Monthly income £1468, "entitlement" - nothing, but some helpful advice about how much better off I would be if I was working.
