    If you want to be really money-saving you could, rather than cancelling the solo account, switch it to another bank that offers an incentive. Easy to do, but perhaps not quite your sort of thing as you clearly don't like much faff. Thought i'd mention it anyway.

    It's a good thought but there won't be any funds going into it as we are happy with our other accounts as is, but that said.... it may be worth spending some time to see if we can do something with it.
