Post office money - avoid

I just called about my policy which is going to expire soon. I paid £118 last year (automatic renewal letter had proposed more than £200 for a new policy) having called up. I felt happy with that. This year the automatic quote was closer to £160 and the best they could offer when I called was something like £152. I used Moneysupermarket and got a dozen quotes in the £80-£90 range so called post office back to tell them. They kept repeating that it's in my opinion they are charging more and not offering the full range of policies at fair prices. Stupid answer since cold hard numbers have nothing to do with opinion.
My point is that post office is a rip-off insurance broker so avoid them. I had a bad experience with their mortgage too (Bank of Ireland)

loyalty never pays, I usually don't stay with the same insurer every year"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Not an issue as far as I'm concerned, just move to another issue, see if any are offering cashback via the 2 sites.0 -
Nothing new, happens to every insurer I have been with, never renewed with same one, plus I also get cashback.0
