The Shockwaves NME Awards are back and this time round they’re bigger and better celebrating even more new music than ever before!
For the first time, the Awards will be kicking off with an exclusive Launch Party at London’s coolest music venue indig02 on Thursday December 6.
The Shockwaves NME Awards Launch Party will see the voting open as bands hit the stage. Babyshambles have just been exclusively announced as the headliners, with The Wombats and indie-pop gods-in-waiting Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong also on stage.
Tickets to this party are strictly by invite only but thanks to headline sponsor Shockwaves, Mirror.co.uk have got six pairs of tickets to giveaway (one pair per person) so you can be there and party amongst the best of British bands and VIPs in the music industry. Winners will also receive a Shockwaves Styling Kit, including Ultra Strong Tuff Stuff Gel and Ultra Strong Power Hold Hairspray to ensure you look the part.
Competition Terms and Conditions
• This competition is open to all residents in the UK over 18 years of age excluding employees of Procter & Gamble, their immediate families and any other agencies connected with this promotion.
• Entries must not be sent through agents or third parties. Any such entries will be deemed be invalid.
• Tickets are strictly not for re-sale and are non-transferable to any other person or to other event dates.
• NO PURCHASE NESSESSARY. Last date for receipt of entries is noon on Monday Decmber 3 2007. All entries received by this date will be entered into a prize draw and the six winners randomly selected by an independent person will win:
