Ikea warranty does stand, and I've had reason to call on it - the same company that dealt with a warranty repair to my AEG washing machine dealt with my Ikea dishwasher.  After several visits where they failed to repair the dishwasher (i.e. they couldn't find the source of a leak, so couldn't stop it), I turned to my local store's kitchen department, and then eventually the store manager and had the dishwasher collected, a refund made along with a compensation payment for the months of hassle.  After the experience I'd think twice about buying anything from AEG/Electrolux/Zanussi/Ikea (as all the same manufacturer and same repair company) - I wouldn't hesitate to buy an Ikea kitchen however.

That said I've an Ikea oven and hob that are still going strong after 12 years, plus I had a further two ovens, hob and fan which were still working in the house I just sold that had reached five years old without incident.
