For anyone still on the 1.92% rate for the 90 Day notice account, I've had a letter today saying it's dropping to 1.55% from 12th May :sad:

I was just going to post that, as my letter came this morning too!!
Now where????
I've still got Marcus at 1.5%, until August.
I wonder if you still have to give the full 90 days to close the account? Or what if you've already had your 3 allowed withdrawals?How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
The current Secure Trust Bank 60 Day Notice account is paying 1.5%. Not sure whether this rate will also be dropping. If not, maybe it is worth opening this account now and giving 90 days notice to switch to this account. The very small interest loss is offset by 'saving' 30 days notice.0

Just got home and I have also received the letter notifying me that interest is being reduced.

Might be a silly question but wanted to double-check since I have never made a withdrawal from a notice account before;
When submitting a withdrawal with 90 day notice period, will the money that will be withdrawn still generate interest during the notice period before it is paid to by bank account?"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

They pay interest on daily balances so money on notice of withdrawal will still earn interest throughout the notice period.george4064 wrote: »Might be a silly question but wanted to double-check since I have never made a withdrawal from a notice account before;

I would like to know if anyone else out there who has a 90 day Notice account with Secure Trust Bank has been warned that even a given Notice which had been withdrawn a week before the actual date counts towards the maximum of 3 withdrawals a year?0
