Moving into first flat - how do I set up electricity?

My partner and I are moving into our first flat together - neither of us have had to set up bills before so just wondering the best way to go about this.

    First you MUST contact the existing supplier and give them meter readings. You will then be on a deemed contract at standard (ie expensive ==) rates,

    You are then free to switch. You need to try and estimate your consumptions. Have you night store heaters ?
    Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
