Congratulations @Ponylover on your pass. That will certainly free up a bit of time.
With regard to the takeaway would your DH compromise with a Fakeaway which you cook? I often do Fakeaways, including a KFC with baked beans, corn on the cob & oven baked chips which we both enjoy more than a real KFC! There are also plenty of recipes for Chinese and Indian meals if that's your favoured takeaway.

I'm feeling very "meh" today, as I am sure many are....
I moved up north with work a few years back. My family all live in london. I normally take my kids back to visit at least once a month. Due to covid and playing by the rules I have not been back home for months. By far the longest time that I have not been home for.
I had been so looking forward to visiting my parents this christmas, but obviously that is not going to happen now. My grandparents are both quite frail and not in the best of health. I was looking forward to standing on the end of their drive way and seeing their faces in person too.
What with the latest covid news and also having a very stressful time at work at the moment I am finding it very hard to find any motivation to get excited about Christmas now :-(

Feeling more positive after my moany post afew days back. I've had chance to let the xmas news sink in. Its rubbish but it's just one of those things!
I've had a real spike in my anxiety over the last few days and ended up chatting with Doc yesterday. It seems like this time of year is always a bit of a trigger for me. Roll on spring.
I'm currently having to restrain (not physically of course!) My DH. Ive mentioned previously in this diary about how he is much improved from when I first met him he still is not fully onboard with my MSE ways....infact alot of the time he is fairly against them.
He is currently desperate to buy a new sofa, a new dishwasher and is eyeing up a new(er) car. Ok, all are starting to get a bit old but all are still perfectly functional. Argh!January 2020- starting point! Update jan 2021

BUT he has agreed to save for the oven etc (for now at least!) And has enjoyed cooking xmas dinner for the first time yesterday so agreed to more 'fakeaways'. All good :-)
Hope you've all had a lovely xmas 🎅January 2020- starting point! Update jan 2021

Bad week...horse had a nasty accident.
Luckily he should be ok but the vets Bills arnt going to be cheap. I will be pleased to have change from a 1k. Unfortunately he wasnt insured (a money saving gamble which hasnt paid off...).
Feeling very lucky that we have an emergency fund so can absorb the cost (frustrating as the unexpected bill is).
