Does more choice equal less quality TV channels?

90% of everything is crap. Over time we forget about it and only remember the good.
The numerous channels often are filled with repeats. Not always a bad thing, if you're tech-averse or live somewhere with useless internet.
The TV License needs to take a hike though. The BBC should be funded by general taxation. But collecting the license fee it is a juicy contract outsourced to a private company who make millions from it. You think the government will stop that?0
