London + 2 toddlers + disabled(ish) mum

Hi all,

Im looking for a bit of advice. I am looking to take my mum to london for her 70th in autumn. We were going to go for a week as a family with our 2 kids and then meet mum for a few days but the funds are a it tight so I think it will just be all of us for a few days.

Mum is mobile but only just, I recall London you have to move fast on public transport - she cannot move fast. She came down to visit and we went to the eden project, we used a wheelchair, it made the whole experience much more bareable so I am thinking of doing the same in london. She can walk very slowely but certainly not more than 100m without having to stop for a rest Can anyone recommend places to go with limited mobility and/or wheelchair use. We will have a 18 month old and a nearly 3 year old by then but they will go on our backs for moving around - that age....anything novel seems to entertain them but if you have any particular recommendations I would love to hear them.

Mum is pretty social with her lunch clubs eyc so she gets to see shows, she loves closer to london and gets the train from bmth to have a day out up there. She does love a day out so this is more about going somewhere new with her and her grandkids so she can enjoy the experience with them as much as it is doing something just for my mum.....if that all makes sense. (a trip to peppa pig world etc will happen seperately)

With a wheelchair you want to avoid using the tube as very few stations are fully accessible. Buses are fine with ramps for wheelchairs, as are taxis. Many places of interest are fully accessible but it makes sense to check on their websites to be sure.
