Wards Estate Agent Fees - Negotiable?

Good evening,
I’m curious as to whether anybody has had success will negotiating fees with Wards Estate Agents?
They have quoted me with a fee of 1.5%. I’m quite keen to reduce this to 1% as I believe we have an extremely saleable property but am not brave enough to go with the likes of Purplebricks!
Many thanks,
Daniel

The best person to ask is them. If they don't budge, there are plenty of other high street agents. To be honest, I used to despise Wards when I was looking to buy."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0

I negotiated with wards, but I think i got 1.35%.
They were great for keynsham.0 -
The negotiation technique I tend to use with EAs is to ask them to price-match another EA.
So see if you can find another local EA who only charges 1%, and ask them to do a market appraisal of your property - and use that as leverage.0 -

Even this would save us £360. I just resent the fees so much considering how easy the work will (hopefully) be for them! The negotiation technique I tend to use with EAs is to ask them to price-match another EA.

I have got an agent coming round on Wednesday who are 1% commission - could be a starting point for negotiating with Wards. The best person to ask is them. If they don't budge, there are plenty of other high street agents. To be honest, I used to despise Wards when I was looking to buy.
Thanks for this, hadn’t thought of that0
