ITEM 2: PROMOTER
Bauer Radio Limited, registered office: Media House Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough, United Kingdom, PE2 6EA and registered under company number 01394141 (the “Promoter”)
This is a Greatest Hits Radio Network Competition, running across the following radio stations:
• Greatest Hits Radio, Clyde 2, Forth 2, MFR 2, Northsound 2, Tay 2, Westsound
Subject to the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions the Competition is open only to those living in the broadcast areas of the above named stations (the “Greatest Hits Radio Network” stations).
ITEM 4: COMPETITION START DATE AND END DATE
Start Date: Monday 27th January 2020 at 6:00am
End Date: Friday 31st January 2020 at 3:00pm
Entries to the Competition will open on Monday 27th January 2020 at 6:00am.
We reserve the right to broadcast the Competition at any time throughout the broadcast schedule. As further described below, the Competition consists of a single draw. Where there is no winner for the draw, all valid entries for that draw will be rolled over into the pool of entries for the following draw. One or more rollovers of a draw shall be referred to as a “Round”. Where there is no winner of a draw and a rollover takes place, those entrants who have already entered that same Round are permitted to enter again for additional chances to play the Competition.
ITEM 5: COMPETITION DETAILS
After 6:00am on Monday 27th January 2020, the presenter(s) of a Station will announce on-air the Every Friday is Payday amount (“Prize Amount”) in pounds and pence, relevant to the Competition.
The Prize Amount will be valid for that draw only, will be the winning answer and will also be the cash prize that entrants are trying to win for that Competition (hereby known as the “Prize”).
As set out above, the relevant Prize Amount for the Competition will be announced on-air. However, we reserve the right to announce the Prize Amount at any time during the Competition. We may also advertise the current Prize Amount on the respective Station’s website, social media or via an SMS marketing message or via any other medium at our absolute discretion.
After the Entry Period has closed, one entrant from all of the valid entries will be selected by automated random draw and will be contacted by the phone number provided with their entry. This may be live on air or off-air to be played out at a later time on-air. All callers are randomly selected in the same way and any off-air recording will only ever take place after the entries have closed.
In order to play the Competition, the entrant must answer their phone within 5 rings. The 5 rings will be judged according to the Station audio recording (for the avoidance of doubt the sound of a “ring ring” shall count as one ring, not two). The entrant will be asked to play the Competition as soon as they answer the phone. If they are not in a position to play for any reason then they will be unable to play the Competition and another entrant will be chosen.
If you are selected, you will be required to talk to the presenter(s) and your call will be recorded and played on-air (assuming there is no breach by you of these terms and conditions).
The entrant who is randomly selected to play will be asked to name the Prize Amount relevant to that draw of the Competition.
If they give the correct Prize Amount in pounds and pence then they will win the Prize. We may ask an entrant to repeat or confirm their answer.
The entrant will not win the Prize should they:
• fail to answer the phone at all; or
• fail to answer the phone within five rings (according to the station’s audio); or
• give the incorrect Prize Amount; or
• fail to say anything at all; or
• be disconnected for any reason beyond our control
The answer given must be clearly audible to presenters and adjudicators and audible on the studio’s audio recording. If this is unclear or inaudible due to a poor signal or any other reason, entrants are ineligible to win. If entrants appear in the judgement of the presenters and/or adjudicators to be driving illegally, they will not be eligible to win. Where there is any doubt in relation to whether or not an entrant has given the correct Prize Amount or the prize should be awarded, we reserve the right to defer decision making to an off-air adjudicator to check the audio recording with reference to these terms and conditions. All our decisions relating to the Competition and/or awarding of prizes are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other person will be entered into.
If the entrant is declared the winner, the Competition will end.
Where there has not been a winner, there will be a rollover and a new Prize Amount will be announced on-air for the next draw. In the event of a rollover, all entrants from the completed draw, and any other previous draws, where no winner was declared, will automatically be eligible for the next draw that takes place after 3:00pm the following Friday.
Entry to any additional draws will be open between 3:10pm on Friday and 3:00pm the following Friday. You do not need to enter again in order to be eligible to win, but you are able to do so (as described at Item 4) if you would like to increase your chances of winning.
We reserve the right to guarantee a winner for a draw. This will be clearly communicated on air throughout the entry period of that daily draw. Where a winner is guaranteed, if the first entrant chosen to play is not declared the winner, another entrant will be drawn at random and asked to play. This process will continue until a winner is declared.
ITEM 7: ENTRANT RESTRICTIONS
The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom, (ii) are not a Bauer employee or their immediate family (including live-in partner) and (iii) are not an employee of any third-party sponsors or prize providers, or their immediate family (including live-in partner).
You can enter the draw a maximum of 6 times via SMS (including free entries) and a maximum of 6 times online for free. Entrants must obtain permission from the bill payer before texting to enter the Competition.
