Clear Score old Financial Connection

Hi,

In my ClearScore report, I have an old housemate listed as a Financial Connection. We may have had a utility bill under both our names (I can't remember exactly), but we moved out about 2 years ago. Interestingly, he also uses ClearScore but I don't appear as a financial connection for him.

So, firstly is this something I should be concerned about (that this link has remained on my file) and secondly is there anything I can do to get the link removed?

Thanks in advance.

File a notice of dissociation with each CRA where it appears.
  • Yes, tell the CRAs to remove the link and stop lying about you to potential creditors. Unfortunately you'll need to contact the three main CRAs separately, and maybe - though probably not - Crediva as well. The CRAs require you to fill out a form to "ask" them to remove the association. This form requires you to know a significant of amount of personal information about the linked person; stuff you may not know, such as date of birth, and importantly, current address. Fill in what you can, and if the blighters cause you any difficulties report them to the ICO.
  • Thanks for the advice.

I have contacted Equifax via ClearScore, I have checked my Experian report via CreditClub and the connection is not listed there.
What other CRA(s) should I look into?
Getting the information will be fine, I'm still in contact with the person in question.
