  • Just heard from Tully and the reason that some of the creditors haven't made contact or put my account on hold is due to accounts being in my maiden name. It should all be sorted now so that is a relief and they are going to ask that the charges are refunded so fingers crossed.
Tully are going to send me an update later for any creditors who have responded so far. Nail biting time.
It is hard being bedridden at the moment as I have no distractions and my mind is whirring away

  • So 3 of my creditors have agreed to my DMP and to stop interest and charges. Just waiting for the ones in my maiden name and we are good to go

  • Recovery is going well and I get to leave the house tomorrow for a dressing change. Exciting days indeed but at least I cant spend any money.
No letters or phone calls today and all is surprisingly quiet. I had some fun updating my spreadsheet last night. If all.my creditors stop interest and fees then I can look to clear a big chunk before DD goes to university in just over two years.
I have set up some saving pots on Tully which is strangely therapeutic. We will need a new boiler at some point soon and I will hopefully be able to save for my first haircut in a few years.
It is strange how you accept things like that go by the wayside when you have no money

  • Things are progressing slowly but now have Halifax, Aqua, Newday and Next on board. All have stopped interest charges but Next have said only for 6 months.
Things are progressing with Very as they have moved my account to NCO so expect to hear from them shortly. They have also removed the
24 pound in letter charges after I complained. Similar position with Hitachi but not heard a sausage from Capital One and MBNA. Capital One have closed my online account though so expect to hear from them soon.
Food budget is depleted this month as I putting all spare money towards paying off Very BNPL before they add over 300 pounds worth of interest. I have set a food money pot up on Monzo to help me budget but is going to be a lean month.
In other news the hospital say I may be able to go back to work sooner than expected which is good news as these four walls are a bit dull and there is only so much tv you can watch!!!

  • That’s good news that more companies have got on board, at least what you are paying can pay the actual debts off rather than interest.
