    Prepaid cards don't have FSCS protection, except for Bo, which is legally a Natwest Bank account. In most cases, you would be better opening a separate current account with a debit card and using that.

    I think the OPs main reason for considering cards like that is that German bank cards run on a different system so you can't use your debit card to shop online - or at least not easily.
