Couple of questions on BA companion voucher

Hi folks,
No doubt I could find the answers somewhere on the internet but I've not been able to in a bit of Googling
...
1. If you earn your first companion voucher (e.g. by spending 10k in a year), do you start earning for your second immediately? Can you even get a second one? (I know the first one expires after 12 months)
2. If yes for 1, is there a tracker or similar, where you can see somewhere how much you have spent in the current 'year'. Other than looking at your own statement, and adding things up
.
Thanks,
Ed

Are you sure your voucher expires after 12 months? I ask because the 10k spend is the BA Premium Plus (black) card and the voucher lasts for 24 months. The 12 month voucher is on a 20k spend card.
You can only earn one voucher per card year, regardless of spend over the qualifying amount.
The home page of your Amex login will give you your current spend and targets.
You really should read HeadforPoints and or Flyer Talk (BA forum).
But here is an article to help with your 2-4-1.

And this is the different BA Amex cards

No, you can’t start earning for your next companion voucher until your new AMEX year.
Which is why people have a second AMEX card in their partners name to build up to a second companion voucher in the same year.
But then you have a build up of companion vouchers and have to take loads of holidays, that cost real money, that you buy using your Amex card, ........I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Thanks.
I was wrong about the amount. Turns out it's 20k.
I guess "card year" is from when the card is acquired? I.e. when we hit the second year of the card, we can start trying to get another one? Or will it restart when the first companion voucher expires
We hit a problem with the first year as it seems we got to the amount surprisingly early, without realising. And because the voucher was issued then, it's expiring earlier than we had planned, and aren't going to be able to use it. Ooops.0 -
Upgrade to Premium Plus and its only 10k. And it's valid for 2 years. Plus your earning rate is 1.5 Avios/£0

Can you "upgrade" mid year? And if so, would that mean starting "afresh" from 0 to get to 10k?0 -

You can upgrade mid-year but your ‘earning year’ dates do not change. Your earnings to date remains unaltered but the requirement drops to 10k.0
