Appliance insurrance

Hi,

I'm with surewise and I have multi appliance insurance.

Will my premiums increase next year if i make a claim this year?

They never asked if i had made previous claims when i took out their policy.

Thanks

haggle over the phone or put the money away into a saving accounts to self insure which is likely the best option,

What appliances are you covering ?

Never paid into these insurances, just a waste of money, why not keep the money in your pocket/bank account.
  • Every new appliance comes with at least a 12 month warranty/guarantee.
If it works fine in that period I would not bother with insuring it - and as DCFC states keep a small amount in a savings pot so that when you have to pay for a repair or replacement you have money towards it.
My sister probably uses her washing machine every day and does have insurance and has made good use of it - she has probably got a lot more out of it than she paid in as premium.

Did you phone the insurer to clarify?

If you don't know just say. I won't be bothered. Then I'll answer your questions.
