Balance Transfer from Tandem to Barclays

Advice please! I do realise I am probably stressing about nothing...BUT; I opened a new Barclaycard 0% BT no transfer fee card - first ever BT card, was very pleased with myself. I transferred by balance from Tandem, which has now appeared on the Barclaycard - it hasn't cleared from my Tandem card and I've a direct debit set up to pay it off in 11 days. I wasn't too fussed until I started reading people's absolute nightmare's with Tandem and now I'm in a state of panic. How long does a Balance Transfer usually take to clear? Do I have any reason to worry?

Good shout. I dropped Tandem a quick note on the chat function within the app and they didn't get back to me. Hopefully, I'll have more luck with calling them!

Given that normal payments by bank transfer take about a minute to show up on Tandem, I would have thought about the same for a balance transfer. Unless Barclays aren't using Faster Payments to make the payment to Tandem, then it would take about 3 days.

But credit card systems do not.
Some will show more available credit in a short time, some not. To fully show as a credit will most likely not show until the next working day, depending on what time the credit is received.

Also balance transfers can take up to 3 days to come through. Barclays will send it straight away, it will be how quick Tandem process it to the account.
