Let's cut to the chase. How much are you after?Given that you are keen to get this item asap and the company you have ordered from cannot deliver it within a suitable timescale, can you cancel the order and get it elsewhere?
I will cancel my order sometime later with the original company.
I believe if the original company does not deliver in the original stated time period, then I am within my rights to cancel when the local store eventually contacts me to arrange delivery? Or do I have to cancel before the product arrives to the local store?0 -

I have already placed an order with a different company a minute after starting this thread. They have stated two weeks, so will see if that gets delivered in the two week frame or not? Although, I have now missed on the January sales.

- Is this just a refund of my original amount? Is there any law/guidance that this company should pay me some 'enhanced' amount for non-delivery within the stated time period and leading me on....? From previous posts it would seem NO.
Yes. No more, no less....
It is just to put you back where you were. Just the same as your consumer regulations.
Oh and if you cancel the order you lose the right on a non receipt chargeback....Life in the slow lane0
