Looking to get rid of my outdated (and expensive!) chip & pin machine which charges me a monthly rental fee plus a percentage per transaction! I’m hoping to swap to the best available card reader that you’ve all no doubt seen in coffee shops, small outlets etc.
HOWEVER - all the ones I’ve researched need the card to be physically present to take payment. I run a small family Guest House and would need to enter card details manually for deposits on future bookings, usually given over the phone, sometimes months in advance. Does anybody know of a company/card reader that supports CNPs?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I think you can send customers a payment link via email or text using an izettle card reader, go to youtube and search for small business toolbox, he did an in depth review of the izettle about a month ago.0

Worldpay let you do this, but you will probably end up paying a monthly fee and per transaction as well.0

Yep, worldpay charge a tenner a month and then per transaction. I think SumUp are the best option...no monthly charge and it’s 1.69% per transaction which is good...the bad point is they charge 2.9% per CNP transaction + 20p. Pretty much the same as PayPal. 0
