Parking Eye
Apoligies if this has been asked by others elsewhere, basically my son went to meet his friend at a starbucks coffee shop that is on a petrol station property. He has never been their before and upon his arrival he saw that the signs stated "Customer only car park" 1hr max stay no return with 2 hrs.
It is operated by ANPR he entered at 18.36hrs leaving 1hr 45 min later. I have sent proof of purchase and that the signage states customer only.
But parking eye state that Appeal was unsuccessful as it did not meet the "Discretionary criteria set by the landowner" but do not state what that is.
In view of this I appealed to POPLA once received they asked me to expand on it which I did but POPLA states that since my comments were additional and not initial they can not accept them as a platform to base my appeal. they have found in favour of Parking eye.
And they have not asked PE to substantiate what the discretionary criteria is and nor is it stated on the signs. Based on this do I have to pay the £100 fine which I feel is very unreasonable since being a customer. Any advice on what to do now would be much appreciated.

This is best moved to the Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking Section.

1hr 45 minutes is a lot longer than the 1 hour max stay, and he read the signs on arrival.....I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

This needs to be on the Parking tickets board. Ask the shop to cancel it. They have the power.0

Apoligies how do I move it
He read customers car park only and thought the 1hr applied to everyone else. I know ignorance is no excuse , my argument is if everyone has one hour parking customer or not then whats the point of displaying customers only on the sign. He was asked to prove he was a customer which he did but he was rejected based on discretionary criteria which was not offered and POPLA did not ask them to provide.0 -

You can't move it. PM a board guide and ask them to. They are listed at the bottom of each board.
As I said the shop can cancel it though.0 -
