Curve Card - Retailer mark transaction as cash transaction

I have tried to deposit funds into a savings account with a credit union via credit card and it was rejected as the amount was above my 'cash' limit allowed on my credit card. I hadn't realised it would be treated as such so happy that it was rejected.
If I use the same card linked to my Curve card does this mean that the underlying credit card would still treat it as a cash transaction then ?
The underlying card I'm wanting to use is either a Creation card or Barclaycard.
Thanks in advance

Curve will pass along the merchant code to your bank, and it'll be up to them to decide how they process the transaction (ie. cash or not). Can't say anything specifically about either of those cards, but my money would be on that it was treated as a cash transaction without using Curve, then it's probably still going to be treated as a cash transaction if you do use Curve.0

Thanks for the confirmation.
I'm wondering whether it is work giving it a try. The transaction amount is above the cash limit so if it is going to be treated as cash then surely it should just be rejected again - if not, it should go through?0 -
Is it normal for Credit Unions to accept savings deposits by Credit Card? If so this could be useful from a Stoozing perspective.0
