Hi All, I have just received a cheque from a UK company in sterling, however the date is in the USA format, should be 21/01/2020, however on the printed cheque it reads 01/21/2020. Do i need to go back to the company or will it be accepted.

Obviously 21 cannot be the month number, so there's no ambiguity. I'd pay it in and see what happens. You have no need to go back to the drawer unless the bank rejects it.
However, if they had written 1/12/20 for the 12th of January, the bank might consider it to be post-dated, but I'd still try to pay it in.0 -
Why wouldn't it be accepted?0

I thought the usual advise was to not write post-dated cheques as banks can still process them and send them on the way through the banking system.0
