Best tip was Tesco Clubcard points so I had enough for one car!
Had to use Wightlink for that (Lymington)
The next best offer was through the holiday cottages company we are using. Their website did not mention ferry discounts but when I asked they were more than happy to help. :j
The cheapest from them was £92 with Red Funnel from Southampton. Much cheaper than Wightlink!(I think the discount was around 1/3?)
So our son is going one route and we are going another!
But it saved another £50 :T: so well worth it. And we have the rest of the week together.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR SAVING US AROUND £300!!!

THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED WITH MY QUESTION.
WE GOT 2 CARS DOWN TO £92!
One I count as free because I used purely Tesco Clubcard points
Then I asked Island Holidays we booked our cottage with and they got a discount of around £50 on the other car for us.
Companies don't always advertise the ferry saving so you MUST ask!
