1900 x740 stable door

Options
I need a collective hive mind here as I'm at a loss.

I need an internal stable door, second hand preferably to fit into a door frame where at the min is an external ally glazed hideous door, even has a letterbox in it , but the size is obscure .

What size realistically could I buy which would be suitable to plane down.

Everything is 1981mm standard and I don't have the ability to take out the frame .

Find someone that does have the ability to take the old frame out.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

should have re-phrased that, there is no option to remove the frame and widen it ...

I was looking a little bit more cost effective .

I suppose a second hand hard wood door can be cut down..

Architectural salvage yards would probably be the most likely source of a good, solid door which could be cut down to fit. Many modern doors have a hollow core with timber framing and reducing those by 80 mm might not be possible.

Yes , thanks. We have a great wood reclamation place nearby and I have called them this morning to ask if they would cut a solid door for me ..looks like they will so ..off I go over the weekend to find a door

I think pretty much what I was asking in a back handed manner,, that hollow doors wouldn't take that amount of cutting

Unless you can find a door pretty near the finished size you need, cutting that much off any door may well weaken it.

"Hollow" doors can often be resized by cutting down, and then replacing the piece of solid wood that fills the edge.

I'd see about getting a door made. At least ask around for a price.
