If I'd been called a liar on social media, I would want an apology from the store.
I wouldn't be bothered about a discount on future purchases but I would want the company to publicly acknowledge that their initial response was inaccurate and unacceptable.0 -

I'm not content and will never use the company again. The way I was treated last night was one thing and I knew I'd not go back to that particular store again. Being told on social media that it didnt happen and that announcements about closing were made is a totally different story and offering discount off future purchases is a downright cheek.0 -
It's also an extremely easy case to prove as there is lots of CCTV in the outlet and carpark. It would be obvious that customers were being escorted out well in advance of published closing times.0

Yes. I always give posters the benefit of doubt but lots of members do seem to call 'troll'.

The initial response saying it didnt happen was on Twitter. Another customer then replied saying they had the same experience (albeit at a different location on a different day). No further reply to either of us on Twitter.
I'd name and shame but would be identifying myself due to my twitter account as it's one of the most recent replies on the companies Twitter accounts.
It is one of the rare companies that is doing well profit wise.0
