Flights to the Phillipines

Hi all
I'm looking to go to The Phillipines mid December for 17 days. How doI find the best time to buy my tickets? Is it really a case of checking Skyskanner every week? Would prices for the week I want to fly miraculously drop in price from one day (week) to another? Is there an alert that actually works that I can set somewhere that will tell me when prices are dropping?
Sorry for all the questions 😎
Thanks in advance

I don't use Skyscanner much, however pretty sure it has an alert function.
Flight prices can change dramatically - sales, flash sales, bargains due to low level of bookings......0 -
As per the previous reply, the answer to your questions is basically 'yes'.
And don't forget about cheap regional flights on carriers like Air Asia: it might be worth getting a long-haul ticket to somewhere like Kuala Lumpur, with a separate ticket for an onward flight the following day. The advantage of this is that you can arrange to arrive somewhere like Angeles or Cebu and so bypass Manila and its dreadful airport.0 -
Mid December is peak time and prices will only go one way after they've been released. It's also usually blackout dates for any sales or special offers, so I would say buy as soon as your return date is available.0
