Help snooping on Gumtree

Hi. I've just deactivated my gumtree account as I accidentally messaged via an ad by someone I was snooping on. My profile has my real name and they'll immediately know it's me if they see my name.
My question is, will they see my message as well as my name if I had deactivated the Gumtree account? Or will the profile completely disappear if I've reactivated it?
Plz put my mind at rest as I can't sleep for worrying!

Yes the message will have gone to them , de activating your account won't have recalled it.

You could try making a pretend account, message yourself, deactivate it and see?

Gumtree have advised me to change my name and then deactivated which is what Ive done.
You guys, I'm dying inside as I was looking up a guy I'm seeing on google so his gumtree ad comes up when I entered his number on google search. Well, nosy old me clicks on his ad and accidentally messages automatically "is this still available?".
I've now changed my username but God knows if he's seen the message already. My name is very unique 😂😂😂
Someone just flipping dig me a grave and bury me alive 😭😭😭😭

It's done now so the panic has subsided but I am a little embarassed, yes.
