Yes, it was probably a mistake. The late payments will now appear for a year longer than the default would have.
That many late payments tells lenders that you effectively defaulted in any case.0 -

I'll quickly email the complaints manager, I'd rather just keep it and the adverse history disappears in Feb 2021.
It doesn't really help me, I have so many missed payments from 2015 on accounts that were closed in 2017 so I'm stuffed for a few more years anyway, bit depressing now I know late payments last longer than defaults.0 -
Ah the complaints handler at Santander was excellent in fairness.
Re-added the default but made it 3 months sooner (3 late payments not 6) so now it should be removed October this year. It was for a loan and he's defaulted it earlier rather than later, which is perfect for me.
Pleasant outcome, happier now.0
