ebay is also worth a look for books. Watch the postage on amazon, it adds up pretty fast!0

Books start from £3.75, £3 to the seller, 70p to the site owner, 5p to charity. I've found some bargains on there, but the choice is limited and the site is slow and not easy to search.0 -

The problem with buying books online is the postage is so expensive. If I need a particular book then I use Abe books. I have found some bargains, but some have been just as expensive as buying new. If you can get out and about, car boot sales can be a fab source of bargain books. Get there as early as possible, the best stuff is snapped up quickly. Last week, at Redcar racecourse, someone was selling a huge quantity of college/university books (sociology/biology/nursing) at £1 each. Mint condition. Some of them had cost over £20. She said she'd sold some of her books on amazon, but the tiny postage allowance made it uneconomical to sell the huge tomes.0
