Citi Shell Cashback Card - How long til you hear?

I applied for a Shell Citi/Cashback card on-line on the 11th November. I have an excellent credit rating (never missed or been late on any payments) and have never been refused a card before - but I'm not holding out much hope for this one as I moved at the beginning of October, and despite applying to go on the Electrol Roll at the new address, I so far have yet to be added (according to the public records).

Anyway.

The on-line application said they would be in touch within 7-10 working days.

On the 19th of November I had a call from a Citi operative asking me a few security questions about my application - my partners name (who I applied for an additional card for), my DoB and my mothers maiden name. This was apparently to verify my identity to enable them to proceed with the application.

Since then, I have heard nothing from them. I'm mildly concerned as a lot of my post seems to go AWOL now I live in a city centre and the I've never experienced the phone call to verify my identity before when applying for a credit card.

Do they often take forever to come back to you?

I applied on the 12... and got the exact same call... they called me onmy mobile (which was on my app) and wanted to know my home phone number as it was missing from the application, after having asked me dob/mmn!

Then only 2 days ago I received a welcome letter and pin number, and this morning received the card itself. I hope we still get the 6% cashback for 60 days that was promised for all applications submitted before the 14th!!!!!

I applied for one. They carried out a credit check on the 26/11/07, and then called me because I didnt give them a mobile number, and said they would let me know there decision within 5 days.

Nothing else was heard untill this week, where they advised I have a 5K credit limit, and my card finally arrived today!

The T&C with the card only mention the 3% rebate - so I am guessing that they will not pay the 6% intro - even though it has taken them months to process the application.
