(URGENT HELP) BW Legal - County Court Business Centre

Received a judgement from BW Legal - County Court Business Centre on 19/12/20. If I pay the judgement today 20/20/20, will a CCJ still be issued against me? It’s past the one month period by three days.

Shall I call BW Legal and ask them? Any help appreciated.

You cannot receive a judgment from BW Legal, are you sure the letter didn't come from the court? To answer the question IF you have a real CCJ, then yes provided it is paid off WITHIN the timescale set by the judge, it will not appear on your record. When paying, get a receipt and make sure you send it to the court.

    1) A CCJ is already against you
    2) It is already on your file
    3) IF you had paid it when the Order told you to, and not a month later, it would have been removed
    4) Youve made a mess up here. Why was it left a month?

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
