Thinking of getting a log burner. Anyone have some advice?

The company supplying and fitting the stove said give it a try without a fan 1st then if needs be we can buy one.

have you seen the model you want in action ?
I've had 2 different multi fuel back boiler stoves, one a 5k, one 9k
when I run the 5k one the heat would knock you off your feet when you came in the front door (half way round the house) but not great heat to the radiators, the 9k one the heat was just ok, but radiators are around 40c

Stove output is more than just the stove itself. I had 2 identical stoves installed by the same installer and they differed in characteristics. They were both made Brosley so not a cheap chinese stove where it could have been manufacturing.
