Cheap Ski Lift Passes

Hi all...
I hope that some of you are looking forward to a skiing holiday within the next few months, and that you're trying to get the best possible value. There are articles already on this site on how to secure the cheapest holiday, but I can't find anything on how to get the cheapest lift pass.
Does anyone have any advice on how to save money when buying a lift pass, or if indeed it is possible? I can't seem to do any better than the prices posted on the lift companies website - no online discount either. I'm specifically interested in Meribel and the 3 Valleys in France.
Thanks!
Rich.

You will find no discounts on lift prices in EU but U can in USA.
as you are skiing the biggest ski area in the world for approx.£20 per day be grateful that you are not in some 2 lift ski village for 37 per day0 -
Thanks for the info on USA.
There must be a way of getting at least a little off the posted prices...
Any more ideas??0 -
Atomic have had a Boot Camp running for the last 8 weeks or so in Tignes, for half board accomodation, transfers and lift pass, that has been costing just £99 for 4 days, which is 3 full days skiing. I know the offer is ending soon, but if you are interested, there may still be spaces, call Mountain Sun on 07704 181351"Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0

I always get my ski passes in the resort rather than buying them from the holiday company who seem to shove a premium on them! I do my research before I go about the resort, best ski areas, etc. then I have an idea when I get there and buy my ski pass there and then - either at a ski school or at the bottom of the main lift in town.0

OMG!!! Do none of you know about ski extras?! http://www.skiextras.com/
I saved a fair bit on my lift pass for Alpe D'huez! They sell in resort for 199 euro's which at the current appalling exchange rate would be £154! Ski extras offered me a pass for £136! BARGAIN! (kind of)0 -

I just tried Banff for end Jan. Was £340 when holiday co sell for £265. The prob is I am trying to get a £202 deal I saw a while ago but they will only let you have it via your holiday company who don't seem to be able to arrange it despite 2 months of trying. Muppets!0
