so can you not set aside a ccj if you want to take it back to a stage where you can come to some arrangement?
I believe I was accepted on the course to make the numbers up when I wasn't in the right situation to actually complete the course. As I was told if I didn't accept now the next course would be in the October only if they had the numbers. I didn't have a host school but a new job in a trust which I told the uni about and they thought that would be fine, I didn't end up taking the job which was after I accepted. I had the offer onto the course on 23rd March which I had to accept by noon on 30th. I accepted at 12.34pm. The course started the second week of April. it soon became apparent that I could not complete this course as I did not have access to the correct information needed, I never submitted any work.
could this be my defence?
They also only ever communicated with me via email which hasn't been done since 2016.
I am sorry if I am looking stupid, I read things on this forum and other places but now I look back they were parking charges which seem less complicated than this situation. I am just a worried woman who has paid the fee without realising the legal jargon and what needs to be done. I really thought I had a case. I guess there is no way to get the £255 back...0 -
You will have your time in front of the judge, all I can suggest is you make your case to them and see what happens, in legal terms you won’t meet the criteria, but the judge may take pity, it will be down to what happens on the day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Have a look at the terms and conditions of the course you signed up for to see if there's anything that can be used to bolster your case.0
