Cost to route plumbing into garage.

I want to do a bit of a makeshift utility in the garage, its directly opposite my kitchen, just a narrow hallway inbetween.

Does anyone know what kind of work it would involve and how much its likely to cost to get plumbing put into the garage for a washing machine? Theres no plumbing in there at all atm, boiler and washing machine is in the kitchen.

Getting a cold feed in there is relatively straight forward. Getting the waste out is another matter entirely. If there is no where to discharge the waste water to, then you are on a hiding to nothing.


You will only find out if you get a plumber round to look.

Tricky to say without seeing it but could you maybe use extended hose for the water in and the waste out?

Waste comes out of a 40mm diameter pipe. Not a hose pipe.

It depends where the plumber can pick up the supply and how easy it is to route pipework to the garage.I managed to get waste to a drain at the front of the house by having a raised floor at one end of the garage to give the correct fall. I just had cold water feed put in then installed a plug-in water heater and a sink and mixer tap. The flow isn't brilliant but if I turn it to the highest setting the water is 80 degrees, so a little goes a long way.

You can get waste hose extentions though.
