Try Nationwide or visit a mortgage broker - likely to be a lot cheaper than bridging finance or personal loans.0

In theory, no
In practise, well, it rather assumes you'd both be accepted, and both allowed to borrow the full amount, at a rate of interest you both could each individually afford to repay.
So, as a starter for 10 I assume you're both in full time employment and with little other borrowing...?0
