Morning all
Cold here with a thick frost it looks so pretty ! Its going to be a cold day again.
I have stripped the beds and got them on a hot wash will try and hang them out for a while today so that they smell nice.
We are having roast lamb today we dont have it often as its so expensive but this bit was on offer although still quite pricey, it will do us two days dinners so not too bad, I shall stuff it with garlic in a while and give it a drink of red wine and let it sit for a while.
Will do the veg etc this morning then put the meat in and get the dogs out for a walk.
Right I need toast and marmite !
Have good days all xx0 -
Good morning folks.
Bright and freezing outside. I'll need to de-ice the car before going out to meet Camelot.
I'm showered and have taken DM her 'it's time to wake up' cup of tea which she'll ignore until it's cold.
TA - fickle Sparkle at her best! A varied diet is not something most cats go for.
DP1 - I hope that DGD improves soon. It's an awful situation all round.
HAPPYCAS. - love the thought of arguing with the satnav, seems perfectly natural.
TRU - I 'prescribe' rest, fluids and being pampered!
DUMPLING - hope you get a little snooze later.
Time to get dressed and feed DM.
Happy Sunday to everyone.0 -
We had a very hard frost last night and its hanging on although the sun is out. I have started reversing the car into our parking space and the windscreen is clear. Glad we went out yesterday.
Veg prepped for supper, will not be doing much except keeping warm. I plan to start embroidering the lace basket, using two different stabilizers see which one is best.
Nothing on next week unless I get a phone call from our friends. So I should get quite a bit of the basket done. Its putting it together which is going to be the worst.
Supper, leg of lamb, roast spuds, parsnip, carrots and calabese. We have a banana which needs eating up, so the last of the ice cream with it I think.0 -
Morning all
The sun is out, but there is ice on the cars again. The gritter lorry was out again last night, that's the second time over the last few days as it can be lethal trying to get up and down the hills here.
It's lunch with Dad day and we will have roast pork loin, roast potatoes, mashed swede, carrots and broccoli. I found some more HM stuffing balls in the freezer so they will be used up today too. Tea will be a selection of sandwiches followed by my banana cake and custard. It is so nice that I can't leave it alone.... that's not good for the diet, so the sooner it's gone the better :rotfl:.
I found a pair of Dad's new trousers hiding in the spare room yesterday, which he gave me to shorten about Oct/Nov......Ooops! but he did say they weren't urgent. He seems to be getting shorter in the legs these days. Anyway I have cut about 2ins off and hemmed them ready for him to try for length this afternoon.
Mr Fix It has some plumbing to do today as our overflow is going again. It seems to show itself about once a year but is right over the back door. He thought it was raining when he opened it . I shall hoover the living room, prep the veg and cook lunch, then that's all for today folks !
I hope everyone has a good Sunday. Healing vibes are going to the poorly ones and hugs to those in need.
Take care all

Hello, happy Sunday everyone.
We have a frozen garden, the sun is shining so where it hits, there is steam! It was the same yesterday and I got very cold on the way to work.
dp1 I hope your little granddaughter will start to pick up soon.
TA your new owner sounds very sweet, what colour is she? I'd love to have a cat, I'm very jealous.
So far my day has not been particularly productive. I had to clean the kitchen cabinets as the bright sunshine showed up their grubbiness but that's about all, I am feeling tired after a couple of bad nights. I've marinaded some chicken in garlic and herbs, it is going to be southern fried later. With chips and bought coleslaw, I'd have preferred to make a roast but DS wanted something different.
Yesterday I worked, this involved quite a bit of walking, to get to where I needed to be, then visited a friend. She had a roaring log fire going and I could just have sat there and gone to sleep!
Tomorrow, meeting another friend and then some report writing.
Hope everyone continues to have a good day.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Afternoon all. Bit of a quiet day here. Dgs asked to come and sleepover last night. He was very good. He went to bed at 8pm and woke at 6.45. Much better than last time. Breakfast was bacon, bread and butter and juice with water. Then off home as he was going to a trampolining themed birthday party at 10.am
I went back to bed as I didn't sleep much last night. Got up for lunch and a shower about 12.30 lol. We have just come back from Imperial Park as DH wanted bird food. I do hate mealworms!
Tru I hope you feel better soon. Gers hope you enjoyed your meet up with Camelot.
Well have a good evening folks. Keep warm.
