Looking to get a 2nd desktop purely as an office PC as will be working from home abit more now. PC Specialist seem to have a good reputation, anyone used them?
Roughly priced a PC up and came to about £350. They seem to use good branded hardware, which seeing as i need a reliable PC for work is what attracted me to them. Only thing that puts me off is the warranty/repair times. If anything went wrong they have a 7-10 day turnaround for fixes, which being a PC needed for work isnt ideal.
My local PC shop can do a similar spec PC but it costs abit more, however there warranty/repair times are same day if the have the stock. So not sure what to do

If they have stock and how long have they been trading? Don't think any small computer shops near me have been running for more than 3 years.
If its a small shop, how many technical staff do they have? Just the one, so if they are busy then you join the queue? Assuming they are still in business.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Trading 15yrs. Never look busy when i walk past but must be doing something right. Used them before to order hardware and they either have stock or can get it next day0

I'd say support your local shop.0

Used them multiple times with no issues whatsoever.
They have a very active and useful customer forum, post up your budget and requirements and someone will certainly help you with the most efficient and effective parts selection.0
