What shall I do? Did i hit a car?

potentially. If damage on my car is very minimal (slight scratch). My worry is that I get done for driving away from an accident? I didnt see a car behind on the grass verge, if there was one and definitely no lights on. But what about if they were sat in the car or walking towards the car?
Any advice? Do I stay up and stop worrying or contact 101 informing them that I dont know whether I have just hit a car/rock?
You won’t get done if you report it to the police in person ASAP. They may wonder, as do we, (1) why were you on the grass verge? and (2) why didn’t you just get out and have a look?0 -

Don't even need to get out.
Just look in one of the three conveniently placed mirrors in / on the car and identify if a car was behind or a rock....0 -
You were reversing and hit something and couldn't see what it was? Maybe time to hand in your driving licence.0

So glad this is just a bump and isn't another driver doing the same. Last time I read the post it gave me a nervous tic that someone would suspect they hit something and drive off without checking what they had hit (if they indeed had).
Yet that bloke's partner (on another thread) can't pass the test after 4 attempts
OP, getting out of the vehicle to check would have been wise. Also wise if you can't properly see behind your vehicle (and a lot less costly than damaging the car behind you or your car). Alternatively, as is the way in modern society, you can buy a reversing camera to save you effort in exchange for money. You keep using that word.
