Hotpoint Dishwasher making a noise!!

Happy to have a tinker around, but when we switch the dishwasher on it start making a horrible rattling noise, it kind of starts to fill with water, but not much

From what I'm reading it sounds pump related?? anyone have any advise on what and where to check before i sadly part with any cash!!

    My dishwasher makes a noise.

(But she’s been like that since I married her)
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

If the pump is easy to get to then take it off & apart. If there is something in there jamming it they tend to rattle backwards & forwards to try & clear it.
While you're at it check the filters & below them to see if there is anything else on it's way down to cause more problems.

What is this supposed to mean?
A dishwasher doesn't need a lot of water.
A noise while filling or later?

The big pump works only during washing and rinsing. It also pumps the durty water out at the end of each cycle.

IIRC, there is another small vibro-pump. It does make rattling noise. This pump starts working when leaking watter collects in the tray at the bottom.
