Savings interest check

It used to be possible to access a breakdown of savings interest received from different sources via HMRC’s Personal Tax Account site. Can this still be done? And, if so, how?

I think in order to get it to work, I signed into my account, then opened a separate browser screen and clicked on the link and it went to the savings interest screen that way. I've not tried recently though, so it may have changed.0

none of these methods ever works for me !0

I’ve just checked mine and it’s reporting less than I have received (tracking on spreadsheet). Do I need to update it on that site or will the missing bank report it and I don’t have to do anything?0

none of these methods ever works for me !
me too! all it ever responds with is: --
"Sorry, there is a problem with the service
Try again later"
and trusting soul that i am, i have indeed tried again later, several times in fact, but, a year or so now later, and still the same message.
this is not encouraging.
so much so in fact that i have been sorely tempted to click on the link: "Is there anything wrong with this page?"
but doing that i fear would only lead to the opening of a whole new can of worms . . .0 -
I am glad it doesn't work for me and never has.
I simply report the amounts on my tax return. If this tool worked no doubt it would be inaccurate and I'd have to make tax payments based on it that would later have to be corrected.0 -

That isn't how it works. If you file a Self Assessment return then the tax due will be based on your tax return entries.
If HMRC don't like what you have put it would be up to them to open an investigation into your return. Which would give you the opportunity to provide any evidence necessary to support your figures. Or HMRC might have details of an account you have forgotten about/overlooked and your return would be changed.0 -
