Reached Maturity Dated But Payment Wasn't Taken

My mum recently cancelled an application to refinance the final payment as she now has enough funds to pay the balloon payment (with the help of some relatives).

The maturity date was this Wednesday, but the motor finance company still hasn't taken the final payment from the bank account yet. Transaction wasn't even pending.

Does it usually take this long to transact a large sum of money or is this an isolated case?

This is for a car she has on PCP, right...?

Has she told them explicitly that she wants to buy the car from them? Or is assuming psychic abilities a family trait?
