Trying to use trainline site

Hi,
I am trying to see how to get from Newcastle upon tyne to Yeovil using the trainline site. I am a complete technophobe, and I've been stymied from the start!
When I try to put details of 'where and to' in, it won't accept me putting in 'Newcaslte Central Station'.
What am I doing wrong. The older I get the more useless I feel and just want to give up at the first hurdle!!!

It is a fiddly site. If you type in Newcastle it should give you a drop down menu which includes the Newcastle station you want and then you click on that.0 -

I don't know why it's suddenly changed. I tried loads of times yesterday and today - and it's allowed me to do it this time.
I thought you could get cheap tickets. I just put in a date during Apr for an overnight stay - just to see what I would expect from Newcastle upon tyne to Yeovil (fleet air arm museum) and it was over £180! Either I'm doing something wrong, it would normally cost a shed load more or I'm living in the 70's and a cheapskate.0 -
Hi,
you're maybe a bit early, most advance tickets are available about 12 weeks before intended travel.0 -

I've tried different times. I think I'm just destined to live in the wrong era and to give up computers as I end up in a foul mood at my lack of savvy!0 -

There are two possibly reasons for higher prices in April 2020. The first reason, is that Easter falls in the middle of the month, Easter Sunday falling on the 12th. Secondly, schools are on holiday for two weeks.0
